Member Spotlight

A Committed Volunteer: Nina Streitfeld, APR, Fellow PRSA

Nina has been a light for the Westchester/Fairfield Chapter as well as for a number of PRSA organizations and activities. President of Nina Streitfeld, Inc. in Westport and a member of the Society since 1961, she has rolled up her sleeves many, many times:

Nina Streitfeld

  • President of the Westchester/Fairfield Chapter
  • Chapter Accreditation Chair
  • Chapter delegate to the National Assembly
  • Chair, Tri-State District
  • Member, PRSA National committees: Nominating, Public Relations and Public Service
  • Chair, PRSA International Section, overseeing seminars at the National Press Club and workshops at the UN, teleconferences and the Atlas Awards Committee.
  • For the College of Fellows: conducting a successful mentoring program at the PRSA annual conference

And then there are her contributions as President of the Japan Society of Fairfield County; VP of the Tri-State American Japanese Society (the Japanese government has honored her with a Foreign Minister's Award); President of the Columbia University Club of Fairfield County; board work with the Publicity Club of NY and the Fairfield County PR Assn. (FCPRA); and support for the International PR Assn. (IPRA). Not to mention Silver Anvil judging and writing articles for PR publications, speaking at universities and heading PR workshops and seminars for professional organizations and trade groups, including the Small Business Administration and SNET.

On the "day job" side, her work has won awards from PRSA (Silver Anvil), the Connecticut Press Club and the National Assn. of Press Women and Women in Management. A true "pro" and an outstanding pro bono practitioner!

The Member Spotlight reflects the diversity of our members, highlighting them both personally and professionally, whether they work in-house or for an agency, for a big public relations team or work solo.  To recommend chapter members, please contact members@prsa-wf.org.
