This meeting is an extension of a May '18 PRSA-WestFair peer meeting, "How Much Should you Charge?", which had a waiting list to attend and insufficient time for several issues.

            Our Guest-Advisor Laura McCormick, principal of McCormick PR --, -- has world-class corporate and agency experience representing major brands from industries that span business and technology services, hospitality, retail and consumer products.

            Prior to starting her consultancy in 2010, McCormick was VP of Strategic Communications at Citrix Systems’ Online Division in Santa Barbara, Calif., a startup that Citrix acquired in 2004. She oversaw global communications and launched several of the company’s services including and

            Prior to Citrix, she served as Director of Public Relations for Calif.-based Kinko’s Inc., a large business services retailer with 900 stores in nine countries, now FedEx Office.

            Her agency career included NYC-based DeVries Public Relations, where she was a Sr. Vice President with responsibility for the Lifestyle Division, overseeing accounts including Perrier-Jouet Champagne, Brooks Brothers, Godiva, Denmark Tourism and All Nippon Airways.

            She got her start in the agency business at Burson-Marsteller, where she worked in both the Toronto and NYC offices managing accounts, including Levi Strauss, General Electric and General Foods. She has a BA from Marymount Manhattan College.


            Peer Group attendees benefit as they network, discuss business-building issues, create alliances, share services, find opportunities and solve problems. Around a table for 12, they discuss how to market services, sell more effectively, satisfy clients, attract strategic relationships, manage interns and staffers, and other issues.
