PRSA-WestFair Peer Meeting Thursday, Sept. 27,

at Co-Communications, White Plains

This meeting is an extension of a May '18 PRSA-WestFair peer meeting, "How Much Should you Charge?", which had a waiting list to attend and insufficient time for several issues.

Pricing 201: How to Make Money

Charge per hour, month, year, project, value or results.

Same for all clients or client dependent.

Valuing time, projecting income, handing out-of-pockets, getting paid.

You vs. competitors -- selling higher or lower prices.

How you're judged, by whom -- how to prepare for evaluations.

Discuss these and more strategic and business essentials at the Public Relations Society of America - Westchester Fairfield Chapter's Peer Group Meeting for Solo Practitioners and Small Firm Owners, Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Co-Communications, 4 Red Oak Lane, suite 109, White Plains, noon to 1:45. [The building is the first on the left of Red Oak Lane, off the 287 service road going west, less than 10 minutes from the I-95/287 intersection, five minutes from the Hutch/287 intersection.]

Our Guest-Advisor Laura McCormick, principal of McCormick PR --  www.mccormickpr.com, laura@mccormickpr.com -- has world-class corporate and agency experience representing major brands from industries that span business and technology services, hospitality, retail and consumer products.

Prior to starting her consultancy in 2010, McCormick was VP of Strategic Communications at Citrix Systems’ Online Division in Santa Barbara, Calif., a startup that Citrix acquired in 2004. She oversaw global communications and launched several of the company’s services including GoToMeeting.com and GoToMyPC.com.

Prior to Citrix, she served as Director of Public Relations for Calif.-based Kinko’s Inc., a large business services retailer with 900 stores in nine countries, now FedEx Office.

Her agency career included NYC-based DeVries Public Relations, where she was a Sr. Vice President with responsibility for the Lifestyle Division, overseeing accounts including Perrier-Jouet Champagne, Brooks Brothers, Godiva, Denmark Tourism and All Nippon Airways.

She got her start in the agency business at Burson-Marsteller, where she worked in both the Toronto and NYC offices managing accounts, including Levi Strauss, General Electric and General Foods. She has a BA from Marymount Manhattan College.

Peer Group attendees benefit as they network, discuss business-building issues, create alliances, share services, find opportunities and solve problems. Around a table for 12, they discuss how to market services, sell more effectively, satisfy clients, attract strategic relationships, manage interns and staffers, and other issues.

Registration required -- no walk-ins; no no-shows. Cancellations accepted through early Thursday, September 27. You are registered when you receive confirmation by email. Attendees pay $5 to the Chapter during the meeting. Bring your lunch. Cafeteria in the building.

Register today by emailing back to Don Levin, APR, Fellow PRSA, retired President of Levin Public Relations and Marketing, Inc., donaldlevin@gmail.com (914-834-5919).
